Wishy Washy Spring

We enjoyed rain, sun, wind, heat and cold this week!

The trees are all blooming!

Kissing the turtle!

Talking to the daffodils.

Addison was hiding behind the tall grasses and jumping out like a tiger to scare a little boy...don't worry he liked it.

Interesting Factoid: Addison has owned over 50 Barbies in her short little life, but NONE are loved as much as "Moving-leg Barbie" (who now has no legs below the knees).

Saturday we had a meet and greet with Addison's soccer league.
Lou Lou had a vet appointment. She has had 5 lumps pop up since moving here. The vet said they are very common in older dogs and that she will probably get more too. They are just fatty tumors and unless they harden and cause her pain, she will be fine.

Sunday we had grand plans to explore Prospect Park, but the wind was outrageous. So we explored closer to home and ate lunch at Bakeri and found this awesome tree that Addison wanted to share with you in video:

HUGE thank you to Tiffany and Rob for letting Andrew and I enjoy a date night at Fette Sau!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

Yesterday we went to the Easter egg hunt at McGolrick park.

First we layered up in sweaters and leggings!

Tiffany and Rob met us there...oh yeah, we are neighbors now!

We did a lot of waiting in line...

Rob volunteered to hide the eggs! Poor daffodils!

Then they hunted for eggs!

Then they ate their loot!

We skipped the lines for the Easter bunny and art project to play with sticks!

All in all, it was a lovely spring day with family.

Hoppy Poppy and Grammy, your egg hunts are still THE BEST!

Thank you, family for sending the girls Easter surprises!

We ended the night with Easter egg dyeing.

We started our day with an Easter basket scavenger hunt (we make them work for their baskets!) and enjoyed breakfast bunnies.

Tonight we will have an Easter dinner with Tiffany and Rob!

Nana and Papa time!

We were so LUCKY to see Nana and Papa on St. Patrick's Day!

We ate lunch at Park Luncheonette, played at the McCarren Playground, and hung out at home.

Addison wanted to take them to her favorite park, East River Park. Which is not a typical park, but they love the rustic feel of it I suppose...and the rocks.

Lunch at Urban Rustic, coffee at Blue Bottle, take out from Crif Dogs and Pies n Thighs...

Don't worry, we put in around 20,000 steps the next day!

We took the East River Ferry to the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Then we determinedly found Junior's, ate a huge lunch, and (seriously) the best cheesecake ever.

Then we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge. The weather was cool and sunny. The views were awesome. Audrey slept over the bridge, Addison glided over the bridge, I pushed!

We took a quick trip to the 9/11 Memorial.

And headed home on the ferry.

Thank you, Nana and Papa, for the fun visit! We love you!

Happy 5th Birthday, Addison!

Addison Jane Ritter is five years old!

Grammy flew in to surprise her! It was awesome to see her excitement. Thank you, Grammy, for the unforgettable moment!

We started Addison's day off with a Peter Pan's Donut!

Then we burnt off some of our donut at the American Playground.

We took the East River Ferry down to the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The girls thought it would be awesome to freeze our butts off and go to the top deck.
They were right, it was awesome.

Two Janes on Jane's Carousel!

We also checked out the education center and the ship playground!

The next day we took it easy and went to the library and played in the SNOW!

Watch out, Addi!

Smallest snow ball ever.

On Saturday, we had Addison's official birthday! SCOTTY SURPRISED US!

Addison requested a T-Rex Fossil party....so we thought it would be a perfect day to visit the dinosaur floor of the American Museum of Natural History.

Addison felt so special. She was in heaven between the dino bones and her family. She held her Uncle Scotty's hand the whole day.

Thank you, Rob, for taking pictures and capturing these smiles!

We ate some yummy tacos and walked in Central Park for a bit.

This is the guy who had a broken leg last year.

I am brought to tears when I see this picture. I have the best family.

Taking over the subway.

We came home and celebrated with dinner, dino bones cake, and presents. HUGE thank you to all our family for the thoughtful gifts!
