Thank you Nana and Papa for visiting us and for spoiling us! We enjoyed our week with you! Thank you Uncles for being patient with us while we worked around Addison's schedule. We will miss you all and can't wait to see you again in the summer!
This morning mom (Grammy) went back home. Andrew, Addison, and I are very thankful for all her help. There were never dirty clothes in the laundry basket, we had awesome meals every day, the doggies got a lot of attention, and our fridge is packed! Thank you Grammy! We will miss you...
Today we also went back to the doctor and Addison now weighs 6 lbs 6 oz! She has regained her birth weight and then some!
We've posted another youtube video. Since there will probably be a delay before it shows up on our blog app, you can find it by clicking on the link below. You'll see a video entitled "Addison's Experiences" on the right.
Wow, Addison is one week old! This has been the craziest week of our lives! Today Mom, Addison, and I went on our first walk in the stroller. We went to the lake park and then to the river. It was very nice to get some fresh air!
Today was Addison's first doctor's visit! Dr. Goldstein said she was doing really well. She weighed 5 lbs 15 oz, which is good. He expects her to be back at her birth weight by two weeks.
Drew read her an Ernest Hemingway short story this morning : )
Last night (3/2) Amanda was extremely uncomfortable and couldn't sleep, so we stayed up late and watched the newest Survivor episode which we had recorded. Around midnight Amanda finally laid down to try and get some sleep, and around 12:10 her water broke. Her contractions began right after that, and we arrived at the hospital just before 1 am this morning. A little less than seven hours later Addison Jane was born, at 7:41 am, weighing 6 pounds 4 ounces, and measuring 19.5" long. We've now been moved to our final room for the hospital stay, where we'll be until sometime on Saturday. We're just recuperating from a long night and spending time with the new addition (addi-tion?) to our family.
