9 months old

Happy 9 months, Audrey Diane!

Audrey no longer does her amazing army crawl, she's long moved on to the traditional crawl and she's fast! She pulls herself up on everything and she has learned to get herself back down (whew!). She has even started cruising a little. We can add chicken, plums, pears, and yogurt to the list of foods she likes. She is starting to prefer finger foods over solids now ... so meal time is quite messy! She likes to stick her tongue out while playing/crawling around the house and she likes to raise her arms above her head (then she grabs her hair). She tries to explore the whole house, but her favorite room is Addison's room. She is still waking up twice at night to nurse, but sleeps 7pm-7am-ish. She takes two good long naps during the day. At the park she loves the swing, going down the slide next to Addison, sitting in the grass, and watching Addison run. She has had a little runny nose for a week now, but I think it's starting to get better. She has FOUR teeth! Two on top and two on bottom. Her top two lateral incisors are coming next! Poor girl. She's been a little more sensitive about them compared to Addison. She loves the vacuum. When I get it out she smiles at me and heads over to check it out. I have to put her in the carrier when I vacuum though because otherwise she chases the cord.

she likes to play piano

she likes to cook

she likes to work out

she likes to .... ?

she likes to help pack for our first family vacation

I shaved the dogs, a number four clipper. It was hard. I've done Lou Lou several times before and she's not too bad, but this was my first time doing Stella. It took 3 hours to do Stella, which I split up over two nights. I'm not sure if it's worth it. Professional grooming is about $150 for both of them.

On Monday we will take Audrey to her 9 month well visit in the morning, take the dogs to be boarded, and head out to our cabin in Fort Wilderness! We are Disney bound Monday-Thursday! Addison is so excited and we are too!

Nana and Papa got the girls these balloons for Valentine's Day! Grandma and Grandpa got her the Minnie dress!

Grandma Barber came to visit last weekend! She refreshed our art supply stash too! We had so much fun with her doing art projects. Thank you Grandma!

Addison likes to push me in the swing...here it looks like she wants to knock me out!

at the park with Daddy, using a stick to pretend to fish

I had to take a picture with this tree because it reminded me of my favorite tv show, LOST. Luckily we weren't hiding from a smoke monster.

Today, Addison cashed in her doggie bank! Money to spend in the Lego store at Downtown Disney!

A week from tomorrow Addison will be 3 years old...Yikes!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Addison and I have been talking a lot about love the past few weeks. Each day we post a heart on our bedrooms doors with one thing we love about them. It's fun to see how excited she gets to hear it.

Addison, one thing I love about you is how nurturing and caring you are. You love to play doctor/nurse! Your little blankie, Aba, is always getting hurt and you are always there to help her! When Aba gets hurt you make a crying sound on her behalf. One of your favorite cartoons is DocMcStuffins and we have our own Big Book of Boo Boos. At night when we tell you a bed time story, you always ask for a story about a boy who gets a boo boo and has to go to the doctor. I also love how nurturing you are to Audrey. You see her pull herself up on something and you run to her to tell her to be careful. When she gets close to something dangerous you tell her she is too little and how it can hurt her. Each morning when we see daddy off to work you shout two things at him "be sure to stop at the stop sign and drive safely". I also love when you see when I'm upset at something and you tell me "it's okay" and your comb my hair with your fingers. When Lou Lou gets scared from the thunder you pet her, hug her, and tell her not be afraid.

poor little Lou Lou

Addison loved when I created this playdoh version of her beloved Aba blankie.

 Learning how to use scissors!

 bubble ears and nose

 Favorite PJs

Audrey, one thing I love about you is how relaxed and happy you are. You've always been an "easy" baby. I love how the simplest kiss on your ear or chunky thigh can make you crack up. I love your big, open mouth smile. I love when I can wave at you from across the room and you bounce up and down in happiness. I love that Addison can make you laugh the hardest. You bring so much joy to our daily lives. Audrey is cutting her two top teeth!

kickin' back, waiting for some food

Still one of my favorite times of the day ... especially with bubbles!

She couldn't figure out how to get the bubbles off her nose.

Of course Addison has a bruise on her face. She was sliding around in my room with her socks on and slammed into the bed.

 Miami born Britto Baby!

Helping fold all her 9 months clothes!

Excited for my dinner date on Saturday night with Andrew. Valentine's day is not about gifts this year, Andrew has given me some amazing valentine's gifts in the past. This year we are just excited to have a few hours together out of the house! I love my valentine!

Weekend

We had a nice Daddy weekend...he only had to work for few hours here and there. Addison likes to ask me "what is today called?". Really she wants to know if it is the weekend because she knows she gets to see Daddy more on the weekend.

I love when he holds the girls at the same time! Audrey was such a big eater this weekend. She is enjoying finger food more and more. We've experimented with strawberry, orange, peach, black beans, peas, wheat bread, avocado, banana, and puffs. Addison on the other hand seems to be eating less and less these days.

So happy to be together.

Checking out the fish and lily pads.

She likes this floating dock at the end of the path.

Two more weeks until our Disney trip!

The girls

Eating a frozen strawberry!

Baby gate or dog gate? Both.

We went to another new playground...Vista View Park. It used to be a landfill and now it's a huge playground and a bunch of "hills". Addison LOVED it.

Sidewalk chalk. We've never been able to do sidewalk chalk before because we've always lived in apartments. It was fun and the rain cleaned it up for us!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the sister shirts!

Addison didn't like my idea about kneeling behind Audrey.

We made heart shaped bird feeders!

Working hard on her Valentine cards!

Andrew is home early tonight! He has been very busy with work the past 6 weeks. Looking forward to our Disney vacation!

More Milestones!

My baby is changing so quickly these days.

She can crawl, sit up, and pull herself up in her crib now so we lowered all the way down.

She pulls herself up on everything in sight, but hasn't mastered how to get down. It's been a very hands on week!

She sits in the bathtub without her seat.

We converted her excersaucer to an activity table.

She drinks water.

haha, I just thought this was a funny picture. Looks like Addison is using her as a foot rest, but she's not : )

Addison keeps her favorite toys up high now.

Grammy and Poppy came to visit over the weekend!

Went to a new playground at Tree Tops Park.

 Sleepy baby and her Grammy

Thank you Grammy and Poppy for the visit and the for the fun Valentine's gifts!

We started a new family tradition this Valentines. Each day we write something we love about each other and post it on their door.  Addison and I have been doing some fun Valentine crafts.

Melted Crayon Hearts

 Celery Stamped Red Roses

I love this picture. Looks like a perfect afternoon to me.

Today my niece Madilynn took her first steps!

In one month Addison Jane will turn 3 years old. I can't believe it really. We are still planning on going to Magic Kingdom to celebrate as a family. We won't be doing an organized party at home, but feel free to celebrate with us whenever! Some have asked what she's into now / needs now and I updated our Amazon list to help (http://amzn.com/w/1BA45ZLFOZSCI).
