Happy Summer!

Audrey received some pretty cool Paw Patrol undies from Aunt Donna for her 3rd birthday and she wanted to wear them at night, so we let her. Well on the second night, she woke up wet. So I ordered more pull ups. There was a 4 day delay between the last pull up and when the new box would arrive, so I was forced to give it another try with undies. SHE IS DOING AWESOME! So awesome that once the box of pull ups came in, we gave them to our neighbor. And just like that, she's lost all "baby" she had left.

Got rid of the dog bed today and here's why:

It's been fun watching the plants flower and produce in the community garden! Keeping our fingers crossed that ours will follow soon!

 Keeping cool at the turtle splash pad...only Audrey hated getting too wet.

 Addison LOVES it.

Spring soccer is over and she will start again in the Fall.

She made that necklace for her coach...she is always giving.

 Audrey loves plants, flowers, trees, sticks, leaves. Still trying to teach her to be gentle with them!

Scooter girl. The other day she spotted a wheelchair ramp and excitedly scooted down it...

Audrey doesn't quite yet have the interest or endurance to scoot as much, but she likes to try (AKA, mom and dad pull her around!)

Medal Day!

Addison's gym had a mini olympics today! It was great for Andrew to be able to see her in a gymnastics class! Tiffany and Robert were also there to support her!

Audrey will be able to start in the Fall!

Excited to follow the summer Olympics with the girls this year!

Afterward, we ate at Egg for the first time and it was delicious. I don't think we are ever going to have a bad meal here.

The girls are excited to celebrate Father's Day tomorrow! I'm sure the day will involve many sword fights and a little Mario.

I am blessed to have my father, stepfather, and father in law in my life today...as so many of our loved ones have had to say goodbye too soon. I love them all and still need them in my life as the girls need Andrew! My Dad still teaches me how to gain perspective when life overwhelms me. My stepfather still teaches me how to go the extra mile for people. My father in law teaches me how to be patient and listen.

Grammy and Poppy Visit!

Okay, so this is a picture of Grammy in Tiffany and Rob's new studio...WHICH IS THREE FLOORS ABOVE US. So now when Grammy comes to visit her girls, she gets 4 of her girls under one roof!

Day One we decided to visit the New York Aquarium and Coney Island.

I love that I am able to "do life" with my sister now.

We devoured hot dogs on the boardwalk!

Then we let the girls choose a ride!

I assumed a day on the beach would be horribly hot and before we left North Brooklyn (where it WAS hot) I told the girls we would definitely get an ice cream cone on the boardwalk. Then we ate the messiest ice cream cones we've ever had on a cold, windy beach. We laughed all day.

 Pumpkin Update: we planted more seeds, added a grid of string on top, they sprouted, and now they are growing very well! Take that BIRDS.

 We had an awesome meal at Brooklyn Star! 

Day Two we spent in Manhattan at The Met.

Right outside The Met in Central Park is an "ancient playground" that was pretty neat!

Then we ate lunch with mom's friend Sheryl!

Dinner was on the rooftop!

Day Three we had soccer practice and a day on Governor's Island!

Grammy got to join in on the soccer fun!

We need to give Governors Island a second chance one day. The day we went should have been perfect: there was a participatory art festival happening, it was a sunny day, we were with family.....HAHA! Audrey decided that she was NOT going to use port-a-pots. The sun was EXTREME. We witnessed the biggest face plant ever by a woman who was probably in the same boat as Audrey: HOT and desperately looking for a real potty. After we realized that the map was most likely not accurate, we enjoyed the best lunch and drink in the shade. Once again, we ended the trip with melting ice cream and lots of laughs!

Thank you Grammy and Poppy for watching the girls and giving us a date night! We went to Oregano and ate yummy wood-fired pizza.

As always, it was hard to say goodbye.
