Audrey, I love ...

• how ticklish your neck is
• when you are cuddling with us in bed and do your trust falls
• listening to you eat...you hum as you eat and it makes me laugh
• how you used to crawl "gangster style" ... now you're too busy walking
• when you try to put the leashes on the dogs
• watching you brush your hair with your toothbrush
• when you smack your lips on play food
• walking the dogs with you
• how you point at everything around you
• when you pet the dogs, but we need to work on being more gentle
• how you carry toys around in your mouth
• how obsessed you are with Addison's underwear ... you carry them all over the house
• when you stomp your foot in the bath tub and get surprised when it splashes your face
• nursing you ... its the only time you sit still in my arms
• your smile, your dimples, and your big front teeth
• how loud you are (well I don't love it all the time, like in the library!)
• how happy the swing makes you
• your love of cleaning tools 
• getting you out of bed after a nap and seeing your sleepy smile
• how well you eat, it's so fun to feed you
• watching you play ... you are all over the house!

Audrey's one year well visit went well. Dr. Z was pleased with how she is growing. She's back on the chart now... well just barely at 3rd percentile! She was 18 pounds fully dressed and with shoes on. She's a peanut.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day was a nice, quiet family day here. But not for Grammy and Poppy. Steve had a bicycle accident and hurt his hip very badly. He had surgery this morning. We are so sad about his accident. Addison keeps asking for all the details. She is a hospital/doctor junkie, but she also loves her Poppy. So mom, keep texting pictures of him to us because she LOVES them. We know it will take a few months to recover, but please get well soon Poppy! We hate to see you in this state!

Last week Tiffany and Rob stayed at our house! 

Monday we went swimming and grocery shopping.

Tuesday they painted my entire family room. I can't tell you how thankful I am. They worked all day and it looks 100% better than that old butter color! 

We went to pick up Addison's art projects from her art class since we missed the final art show when she was sick. The green one is hers.

On Wednesday, Tiffy and Rob went to Fort Lauderdale to check out a house she designed.

Thursday we drove down to Miami to visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. It was such a beautiful place to take a walk! Addison loved all the stairs. 

Friday was Audrey's 1st Birthday! We went to the beach. 

Mom and Steve also came over that night!

Thank you, Tiffany and Rob for visiting us! I know it's not much of a vacation when you vacation with kids, but I really appreciate that you came. Thank you for all the help and company. 

 We will miss you terribly.

29th Birthday and Mother's Day

Mother's Day weekend I also turned 29. Mom and Steve came over and took me clothes shopping. It made "my" weekend feel extra special. Thank you Mom and Steve!

I also received flowers from the Ritters and the Barbers!

Then on Monday, Andrew left for New Jersey, again. Addison got sick. She had a fever for a few days with no other symptoms. She was MISERABLE. She didn't want to play, didn't want to eat, didn't want to walk. All she wanted to do was: sleep, watch TV and read books, drink water (with 5 ice cubes), and be carried. 

I did force her out for a stroller ride each day. 

Meanwhile, Audrey practiced her walking skills!

11 months old

Happy 11 months old, Audrey Diane!

I really need this month to slow down. How can it be that my little baby is almost a year old?

She weighs 16.5 pounds. She eats well and a lot, but she is all over the house. 

She has 6 teeth ... 2 on bottom and 4 on top.

At her 11 month day her walking record was 5 small, shaky steps. Today it is 17!

She is still taking 2 naps and waking up at least once at night.

She loves the trash can, the dishwasher, the dryer, the vacuum, the dog leashes ... I may have a good helper one day!
