8 weeks old!

Addison is 8 weeks old!  We went to the doctor yesterday and ...

she weighs 9 lbs 7 oz

she is 21.25 inches long

her head is 37.5 cm around

She also had her two month vaccinations.  Today she seems a little more tired than normal.  She slept 8 hours straight last night and is already on her second nap of the day. 

We think we may have found a way for her to sleep in her crib!  She hated it before, we assume because of how empty and flat it was.  Under the sheet we put a sleep wedge and a rolled beach towel in a horseshoe shape.  We are hoping that this helps!  So far she had one successful nap in her crib! 

7 weeks old

Addison is seven weeks old and almost nine pounds now!  On Friday she will have her two month appointment and she has to get several shots : (

Addison in her Easter dress, her first dress too!  She only had it on for about 10 minutes then we had to change her (spit up and pee!).

Thank you Aunt Tiffy!

Aunt Tiffy went home last night.  Her plane was delayed (of course) for 3 hours, but she made it home safely.  Thank you Tiffy for coming to visit us, for cooking and cleaning, and for helping Drew with his mock trial!  We can't wait to see you again this summer!

Aunt Tiffy is here!  We are having a great time!  She played a witness in Drew's mock trial yesterday, we went to a museum today, and shopping for new jeans!  Addison loves her!

6 weeks old

Today Addison is six weeks old!  After two diaper explosions I have also concluded that she has outgrown newborn diapers!

Thank you Grammy for the new outfit!



Some smiles

Addison has started to give us some smiles, although they are rare and very hard to catch on camera!

We have officially received her birth certificate and social security card which was very exciting!

We also have a copy of the Chicago Tribune (thank you Nana and Papa) and The Economist for her birth date.



Feels like spring!

It's in the 70's today!  Starting to feel like spring (well at least for the day!).  We opened our windows for the first time in a long time!

Allison had her baby boy, Judah, yesterday!  Can't wait to meet him!

5 weeks old

Addison is 5 weeks old today!

Tomorrow my friend Allison will have her baby, Judah! 

Thank you Laura for making Addison a pair of booties!  We love them!



What seems to soothe Addison one day may be different the next.  For example, some days she loves a pacifier and others she hates it.

Today was Addison's one month doctor visit and he said she was doing great!

One Month Old

One month ago, Addison came into this world!  Tomorrow we will go to her one month appointment with Dr. Goldstein.  We are excited to find out how much she weighs and how she is doing.

We got her some jeans yesterday!

Hands-free!

Today I decided to try out the Moby Wrap.  It was sort of difficult to figure out at first, but she is in and so cozy that she fell asleep!  Now that I am hands-free for the moment I folded the laundry, made Drew lunch, and now I am writing this blog post!
