Mi mamasita

Every weekday I have to take the dogs out one at a time (for safety) in the afternoon with Addison in the front carrier.  I have to take the service elevator down 29 floors, which would not be bad if it wasn't so busy!  All the maids and maintenance staff use the service elevator.  Typically this process takes me an hour, most of which I am waiting for that darn elevator.  I only have to do that 17 more times!  Woohoo!  So glad that Addison doesn't seem to mind it...I think she likes the maids!  They call her "mamasita".

My little mamasita gave us a little chuckle yesterday for the first time!  I spun her around and I heard a little "haha"!  Today she realized that she can squeal/scream.

Thank you Hibberd Family!

Went to visit Mom yesterday for dinner which was nice, however I was sick.  I had a very bad stomach ache, but I feel great today!  I haven't been sick in over a year and it was awful.  Well Mom brought me some goodies...new soft books for Addi (she loves them!) and two packages from Brad and Linda Hibberd.  THANK YOU!!!  We love everything!

Our play area has expanded : )

15 weeks old

Addison is 15 weeks old and learning new tricks every day!  On Thursday she rolled belly to back twice! On Friday she rolled back to belly twice!  Today she didn't roll, but I am keeping the video camera handy.  It was so good to see family and friends and tomorrow we will see more family as the whole Ritter family is coming to town!  Addison loves her family and grandparents....she was smiling and cooing the whole time!  Grandpa Barber nick named her "Chaddy Addi"!  It is good to be "home" though...mostly just good to see Drew.

14 weeks old

Addison is 14 weeks old!
She has graduated to: 1) a size two diaper and 2) to a sleep sack (no more swaddle blanket!).

Tomorrow Andrew is headed to New York for three days so I am headed to the west coast.  This will be my first "road trip" alone with Addison.  Usually I sit in the back with her!  I wish there were more exits on Alligator Alley!  We are going to miss Drew, but I'm glad Tiffy and Drew can see each other.

Our little Bam Bam

Thank you Grandma Barber for the cute new outfit!  We have been calling Addi, our little Bam Bam today!

Today we got a doorway jumper for Addison!  She's not quite sure what to do yet, but I'm sure within a few weeks she will be a jumpin' baby!

Drew (using my toothbrush!) and Addison.  We have had a toothbrush fiasco between Lou Lou licking them and Drew using mine; we got two new ones today to start over fresh.

Our daily walk

Our favorite part of the day is our walk.  We see Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, the port, Brickell Key, and Drew's office building!  Here is a windy video!

"Walking Chair"

I could not live without a rocking chair these days!  So much for not using "sleep props" ... Addison is addicted!  Dad and Kim got us a rocking chair for our Miami summer and I use it throughout my entire day.  One problem I have is that it "walks".  I never stop where I start.  This reminds me of my Mamaw, my Dad's mother.  I'm not completely sure why, I will have to ask my family.  I do remember a picture of my Mamaw in our "walking chair" on the porch of our house on Crocus Court.  It was a wooden chair with a lattice back and seat and it was known for it's walking capabilities!

Anyway, Drew is at a Marlins game tonight.  He was excited about it, but also bummed to miss the Heat game.

Here is a better picture of Addi's new core exercise:

I love the weekends!

I have come to love and cherish the weekends now that Andrew is working such long hours.  This weekend we were able to drive over to the west coast to eat dinner with the Ritter's and celebrate Stephen's graduation.  I wasn't sure how Addison would do last night with the drive, but I fed her at 8:30pm, we drove across the Alley, and she slept in her car seat without waking up until 7:00am!

So excited that most of my best friends now have blogs!  I wish we could all live in the same city, but at least now we can keep up through our blogs!

3 months old!

Wow, can't believe my baby is three months old today!  I'm excited because she is ready for more and more toys now, but it was sad to pack away all her 0-3 month clothing.  Tomorrow we are going to see the Ritter family and congratulate Stephen (Uncle Steve) on his high school graduation!  Addison will also meet her Great Great Aunt Donna!

A new video slideshow!

Addison's first 3 months!

(I know there is a typo...sorry)

13 weeks old

Today Addi is 13 weeks old!  We almost have a 3 month old!  I have taken all the tags off of her 3 month clothing and washed them!  Excited to see what fits!

Catch up: The vacation rental in Coral Gables didn't work out for us sadly.  We enjoyed the area very much, but there were too many insects (moths, termites, and 2 roaches!).  We packed up and unexpectedly spent the weekend on the west coast, which was very nice...busy of course, but nice.  We saw G & G Barber, the Ritters, and Grammy and Poppy (short for PopTart).  Monday we got to stop by Kristina's house for a quick visit!  Monday evening Mom and Steve helped us move into a new vacation rental in Brickell.  So far we love it.  This area is very similiar to Chicago and we have come to like the city life I guess.  We are on the 29th floor in a one bedroom.  Its bigger than our studio convertible in Chicago and there are a few things that I love: the balcony, no carpet, and dimmer lights!  I will post some pictures soon.  Two more months in Miami.
