8 months old

Andrew was in LA for 12 days working and we missed him very much! Addison kept saying "we'll wait for Daddy to do that." Light bulb went out in her room..."we'll wait for Daddy to do that." Couldn't open a jar..."we'll wait for Daddy to do that." Can't reach the pull up bar..."we'll wait for Daddy to do that." We tried to FaceTime every morning. Over the weekend he was able to see two law school friends who live nearby LA which was good!

Audrey turned 8 months old yesterday. It was a busy month for her. She cut two teeth. She is trying some mushy finger foods. She finally rolled from belly to back. She pulled herself up to standing on a toy basket. She sits up without support. But the last 12 days, while Andrew was gone, she went crazy! She started doing push ups and she did that NON STOP for two days. Then she started putting her knees under her while doing her push ups. With her knees under her she rocked back and forth like she knew she was on to something, but couldn't quite coordinate her arms. Then a few days later she gave up trying to do the traditional crawl and started army crawling. She's incredibly fast, very mobile, and she's ALL OVER THE HOUSE. It's pretty fun to watch. I'll post a video soon. I'm thinking of making a mop onesie. Just kidding. She also learned how to get from belly to bottom (seated)!

Went through all the toys to take out the small parts. Addison is not always a fan of Audrey's curiosity!

Nurse Addison

It's really hard to get a good picture of her two bottom teeth without her grabbing the camera or phone!

Took the girls to a boardwalk preserve.

We saw a soft shell turtle.

And a lot of birds.

 It was a lovely walk.

Such a cutie! A loud cutie.

Thank you Nana and Papa for the cute outfits!

Addison kept telling Audrey to be careful. They were sitting on a bench.

She loves this monkey that Papa gave her before she was born!

Addison and I made popcorn. The dogs love popcorn (thanks to Grammy).

Addison's first time making and tasting popcorn. It was a fun experience. She loved watching it pop!

 Painting

I can't believe all the cold weather.

Grocery shopping can be quite complex with two, but I think we've figured it out.

Tried to have a picnic at CB Smith park, but the three ugliest ducks ganged up on us. Note to self: NEVER bring food to CB Smith park!

Made homemade fresh strawberry cupcakes and butter cream frosting for Andrew, our love.

PS, Happy Birthday to the best Uncle Scotty! We love you!

Doc McAddi

Grammy and Poppy gave Addison some tap shoes and a leotard on Christmas. She loves tap dancing!

We like to watch all the different kinds of birds that come to our yard.

This past weekend, I took Audrey in the pool for the first time! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for the sun suit and swim diapers! She didn't mind the water at all.

Andrew had to work so we tried out the toddler pool.

This little one is cutting her second tooth! Bottom middle.

Andrew drove our car for a week while he waited for his new tag to come. So we played at the playground a lot!

Doc McAddi. The Disney show Doc McStuffins is one of Addison's favorites. It's about a little girl who fixes her toys. We got Addison a Doc McStuffins coat for Christmas. She is taking care of "Aba", "Aba's mommy", and "Aba's daddy". Aba is what she calls her little pink elephant blankie that she absolutely loves.

The girls rolling in my bed after bath time.

Celebrations

It has been non stop celebration time around here! We had four different Christmas celebrations, one "surprise" 30th Birthday party, and today is New Years!

We had so much fun with our family at Tiffany's "surprise" picnic. Most of family and extended family came! The food was delicious too! Addison had a blast on the playground with Madison, Audrey was tired but still had fun with Madilynn, the boys went fishing, we rode the 6 person bike, and we sang "Happy Birthday" 4 times to Tiffany!

On Sunday we had Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Barber!

Dad took some pictures of me playing with Addison which made me happy.

She loves hide and go seek!

Our first family picture with the dogs!

Thank you Dad and Kim!

Baby and her ball!

Andrew and I only made it to 10:30 last night! We usually go to bed much later than that so it was nice to go to bed "early". We also started a 1000 piece puzzle...we're old farts.

Today we are just relaxing. The girls played picnic together.

Addison tried out her new fishing pole.

And later we plan to buy 7 smoke alarms and make hamburgers. Ha. Andrew and I made a list of everything we would like to do in the house room by room. It's a long list. This month we are doing the smoke alarms. We currently only have one working alarm and the rest are missing. We are also trying to save enough money to take Addison to Magic Kingdom for her 3rd birthday, which means we will have to wait on buying the paint for the house until Marchish. We've been talking about taking Addison to Disney for her 3rd birthday for 2 years now.

Happy Birthday to my sister, Tiffany Jane Barber! I love her so much. She is a great Aunt, sister, and friend. I just wish I could spend more time with her and I plan to once the girls are a little older and easier to travel with!
