Princess Addison

Last week we received a few gifts from Lola, Andrew's grandmother, and Addison has really enjoyed them! She sent a bunch of books and a castle tent. It really was a perfect gift, Addison loves to read with us and she loves pretend play. Thank you, Lola!!

She likes to put her blanket and pillow in it and pretend to sleep or make her dolls sleep.

Stella also enjoys it!

She also brings all her toys inside...here she has all her Disney princess dolls set up.

She also likes to pretend that I'm the Big Bad Wolf and she's one of the three little pigs. I knock on the door and ask to go in, she tries to say not by the hair on my chiny chin chin, and I huff and I puff and I blow the house down. She LOVES it!

When I walk the dogs in the afternoon, I put Audrey in the baby carrier and hold Addison's hand. Addison likes to put her tiny baby doll in her shirt. She says, "I baby's mommy".

We had a nice weekend. Andrew, Audrey and I went to look at a house on Saturday while Grammy and Poppy went swimming with Addison. We put an offer on the house and hope to hear back by Thursday. It was a busy open house, but we'll see!

Then Andrew and I went on a date Saturday night!

3 months old

Happy 3 Months, Audrey Diane!

Audrey loves to suck on her fists, blow bubbles, coo, and smile. She really is a sweet baby. If only I could get her to sleep longer at night...then she would be a perfect baby! We go to the doctor on Tuesday for her well visit.

"I play in me room!"

I can't tell you how many times I have heard Addison say "I play in me room!" in the past two weeks. Not sure why, but she won't go in her room unless we are with her. So she also says "mommy feed Augoo in me room!" a lot. Not sure where this new fear is coming from, but I hope it doesn't last! I also hope that in the new house (that we plan to buy someday soon) there is a more convenient play room area.

When we first brought Audrey home, and really for the first month or so, I was pretty nervous about how Addison was dealing with it. But she is really starting to just accept that she is part of the family now. She is also starting to be kind to her. Whew.

House hunting

We have officially outgrown our high rise/apartment phase of life. We are searching for an actual home! Andrew and I have never lived in a home before and now that we are a family of four, we are excited to move! We are looking in the Pembroke Pines area. It will be a bit of a commute for Andrew, but it's an area where we can afford a nice house in a good neighborhood with good schools. We made an offer on a house last weekend, but they went with another offer...a cash offer. So we will keep looking.

Addison's new thing is playing on her bed. She will fill her bed with toys and play. She loves to play doctor. Everyone has a boo boo.

Weekend fun

We spent the weekend on the west coast and had a great time...minus when I got mastitis (starting to feel better). Saturday we had a nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma Barber. Audrey fell asleep in their arms and Addison enjoyed her new Disney princess dolls! On Sunday we went to Grammy and Poppy's house to visit:
