April catch up

Our computer broke, but Andrew built a new one! Then our monitor broke, so we had it replaced. So I'm a little behind...

A trip on the ferry to Long Island City.

The brown, oval building in front of the tall, slanted building is where Andrew works.

Spring soccer season has been fun!

Not a bad view!

Audrey and I get to explore the waterfront while Addison and Daddy play.

Austin and Stephen came to visit...a much needed brother time for Andrew! They pretty much ate and played Mario most of the time. The girls loved having them over!

Austin has deployed and we are so thankful that technology allows us to communicate!

Audrey went through a glasses phase and started wearing her Waldo glasses everywhere.

She also loves to get dressed for ballet...which we hope she can start in the Fall.

Our pumpkin seeds sprouted...then the birds ate them.

Playing in the baseball sand=an hour of fun for the girls and an hour of cleanup at home!

The girls love to suck on lemon and limes!

Planted more seeds and they sprouted. Tried to scare the birds with tin foil flags, but the birds are brave and ate them AGAIN.

Sharing a last sip of water for the night...PLEASE NOTE: it is still completely sunny outside at 8pm and its made bed time hard!

The umbrella tree is all green now.

Our courtyard is quiet (well, until we come out), green, and full of flowers!

Each Saturday, we drop off the compost at the farmers market at McCarren park (thank you Tiffy for inspiring us!). Now the community garden next door is open and the girls love it. They call it "The Secret Garden"... it may be time to watch that movie again!

Happy Earth Day!

Last weekend was a bit busy, but fun. It also hit us that it's officially Spring and surprisingly HOT.

Addison played soccer with Daddy.

Audrey and I went to swim class.

We met up with Tiffy and Rob for tacos.

Rob introduced Andrew to bouldering...which he loved.

I made Rob an early birthday present that we could all enjoy...black sesame ice cream.

Sunday we went to the northwest part of central park. Andrew got to teach Addison some of his newfound bouldering skills. We found an awesome playground, Tarr Family Playground.

We used our buildings rooftop grill for the first time...thank you Tiffany and Rob for helping with the clean up. Every time they leave my house it's a little neater : )

The sun wore me out. That night I ordered everyone new hats.

Satisfied our Chick-fil-a craving with a copy cat recipe!

Addison loved this new painting and loves finding sad shoes in trees and phone wires.

We witnessed a hawk catching a pigeon and flying away with it.

We voted.

Cavity free.

Stopped to smell the tulips!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!

We may have pumpkin to bake with one day!

Life and the Zoo!

It's interesting to see what games and activities the girls come up with on long rainy days.

This is the grassy area where we take the dogs. The colorful glass building on the right is our building. The fences to the left are the tennis/basketball/softball courts of McCarren Park. The dogs are doing really well. I wasn't worried about Stella, she is very easy to take on walks. But Lou Lou has done surprisingly well for Lou Lou. We can take her around those courts and do a loop without any anxiety from her...unless it's the weekend and people are playing ball. ha

This is on the other side of those courts, our dog loop. I am thankful for proper rain/puddle gear!

This is our long hall. We live at the end of the hall. The girls pretty much always run down the hall. Audrey likes to walk the dogs back home.

I have the chap stick in a reachable spot in the girls bathroom because I want them to use it...when the heater is on, their lips are usually chapped. Well, Audrey thought baby needed some too.

Andrew's work/life balance has been much more flexible!

Addison's secret elephant.

Addison is really enjoying gymnastics!

I really need to create an artwork display system in this house...

Addison's soccer game was canceled on Saturday due to cold, rainy weather. Audrey and I went to her first swim class, which was fun!

On Sunday, we met Tiffany and Rob at Prospect Park. First we loaded up on food from Smorgasburg then we went to the Prospect Park Zoo! Thank you Mom & Steve for the city zoos membership!

Thank you, Aunt Tiffany, for loving on my girls!

The sea lion show was fun!

The girls loved the Discovery Trail. It allowed them to play as if they were the animal. Here is a prairie dog tunnel.

 Lily pads

Egg shells in a nest

Spider web

If I could figure out a safe way to haul my girls around by bike I would, they got home twice as fast as us!
