Catch up

Spent 5 days without air conditioning. Also spent 5 days in the pool or wading pool!

And eating frozen blueberries and smoothies to cool down!

 Peek-a-boo Audrey

Addison is in a dress-up stage and it's so funny to see what she puts on each day.

Madison gave her this Cinderella dress and she LOVES it.

Addison started dance class again and she is doing really well.

 She also turned 3.5!

We've consumed a lot of ice cream this summer! Can't wait for "fall".

Soccer star

Addison is having fun in her Soccer Tots class!

Perfect soccer stance.

Working our way through the Alphabet!

Addison asked to wear her boots, wings, and teal dress today. I love this girl.

Andrew had a quiet, but nice little family birthday. He is 30! The girls got him a new pair of sneakers and a Sofia the First balloon. I made him his favorite meal. I'd also like to send a huge thank you to our family who helped us get him a Weber natural gas grill! He assembled it last night and will grill dinner tonight!

Audrey is 15 months old!

Happy 15 months, Audrey!

Audrey had a hard week. She hardly ate and she constantly called for mama in her loudest voice. I hope she's just teething and it happens quickly! Her 15 month check up is Monday morning.

Moments to cherish

My thoughts and prayers are with Amanda, her Dad, and family this week as her Dad is very sick. Also, with the Hibberd Family as they lost a grandmother. Also, with our neighbor who passed on Monday (the one Addi made cookies for). Sad times like this remind me to cherish every moment with family. Sometimes I get so distracted and busy.

I want to cherish the excitement these girls have over bubbles! Today we invested in a small bubble blower.

I want to cherish her open mouth expression, how cute she is sitting in the stool (usually she stands on top and calls for me), and her love of jewelry.

I want to cherish my little baker. She loves helping me pour, stir, and taste all the ingredients (even the salt)!

I want to cherish secret shopping trips with the girls (Addi wanted to buy shoes for Daddy's birthday, shh don't tell him. Oh wait, she already did). I also want to point out that she reminded me that it was brave to stand so close to this shark.

I want to cherish these crazy long-legged Rs.

Addison is reading!

Today Addison read her first book, Mat, from the Bob series. She sounded out each letter on her own. It's a very simple book, but I am so excited for her. She's been a bookworm her whole life and I'm trying hard to keep up with her yet not frustrate her. Her bookshelf is full, so we go to the library every Monday. We check out 15 books, but she always sneaks a few more in the bag. This week she filled up her marble jar and wants to go on a Daddy Daughter date to the bookstore for a muffin and a book (although I wouldn't be surprised if she talks Daddy into two or three!). We read at least 10 books a day. And today she read one to me.

Life

Audrey loves her lamb blankies!

Dr. Addison has been busy ...

... very busy.

The new and improved "Button Bank" is a hit with Audrey too!

It's incredibly hot these days. So we've been going to the pool a lot lately.

Family Weekend

Last weekend, the girls and I drove to the west coast to stay on the beach with Grammy and Poppy. We got to see Scotty, Amanda and their crew too!

Along the way, we stopped by Melanoma Center of Hope to surprise Nana! Dr. Addison loved it!

Austin was there too! I love seeing him "hold" a baby.

Addison is getting so brave in the ocean (and pool) now!

I love how excited Grammy was about her sandcastle skills, then Addison knocked them down.

 Audrey just loves to walk!

Cutest cousins ever

The water was really shallow, so Bradly had fun skim boarding!

 Digging for little clams

My cute niece, Madilynn, chasing the birds!

So glad we live close to these guys!

Thanks Grammy and Poppy for letting us join your beach weekend!

 sisters

Sunday we spent the day at Grandpa and Grandma Barber's house! Of course they spoiled the girls with themed bags of goodies (cats and ballerinas) and even a bathtub full of balloons!
