"I play in me room!"

I can't tell you how many times I have heard Addison say "I play in me room!" in the past two weeks. Not sure why, but she won't go in her room unless we are with her. So she also says "mommy feed Augoo in me room!" a lot. Not sure where this new fear is coming from, but I hope it doesn't last! I also hope that in the new house (that we plan to buy someday soon) there is a more convenient play room area.

When we first brought Audrey home, and really for the first month or so, I was pretty nervous about how Addison was dealing with it. But she is really starting to just accept that she is part of the family now. She is also starting to be kind to her. Whew.

House hunting

We have officially outgrown our high rise/apartment phase of life. We are searching for an actual home! Andrew and I have never lived in a home before and now that we are a family of four, we are excited to move! We are looking in the Pembroke Pines area. It will be a bit of a commute for Andrew, but it's an area where we can afford a nice house in a good neighborhood with good schools. We made an offer on a house last weekend, but they went with another offer...a cash offer. So we will keep looking.

Addison's new thing is playing on her bed. She will fill her bed with toys and play. She loves to play doctor. Everyone has a boo boo.

 

Weekend fun

We spent the weekend on the west coast and had a great time...minus when I got mastitis (starting to feel better). Saturday we had a nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma Barber. Audrey fell asleep in their arms and Addison enjoyed her new Disney princess dolls! On Sunday we went to Grammy and Poppy's house to visit:

Movie Night!

Andrew and I started movie night with Addison about a month ago. Every Saturday night we will all watch a movie together! Addison loves it, but Andrew loves it more. He wants to get her ready for Magic Kingdom! We want to take Addison to Disney for her third birthday. So far she has seen Cinderella, Dumbo, The Tiger Movie, Winnie the Pooh, and Finding Nemo. We are having a hard time finding all the movies in Blu-Ray/Digital copies because of the darn "vault". We looked up all the rides we think she could do at Magic Kingdom so we can figure out what movies to see. We still need to watch: Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid (which we just pre-ordered!), Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin.

2 months old!

Audrey is 2 months old today!!! She likes to smile, to roll up on her side, to suck on her hand, to take baths, and she loves to be outside.

I had to beg Addison to do this for me, she is not always in the mood to be close to her sister! Notice her band aids. I let her play with an empty spice jar in her water table and she dropped it and it broke. Parenting failure.

 

 

My favorite time of the day: bath time. Both girls really enjoy it.

This was taken last month, but I forgot to post it. If you look closely you can see that Addison is also carrying her baby...in her shirt. 

 

Thursday is Audrey's 2 month well visit...she will get a few shots too.

 

A hard week

Last week was a little rough (or as my Dad would say, a little rough around the edges). Monday and Tuesday I felt very achy, weak, and feverish. I could hardly walk. Tuesday I went to the doctor and he found that I was anemic which was most likely why I was feeling so badly. My Mom came to my rescue and helped me with the girls and housework the rest of the week. Thank you Mom! She also filled me up with spinach and meat at every meal! I've been taking an iron supplement too and will continue to do so for two months. So far I do feel better. I have moments when I still feel a little weak or nauseated. Andrew had a rough week too...working late every night and working all weekend. Audrey went through a growth spurt...eating every two hours and taking very short naps. Addison went through some emotional two year old moments as well...we are starting a new reward system tomorrow (filling up a jar with marbles for every good/nice thing she does).

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a nice long weekend! Andrew had to do a little work, but was free for the most part. We went to a coworkers house on the fourth for a BBQ then we watched the fireworks from our balcony. We let Addison stay up to watch them for the first time!
