Drool Baby

Addison's newest thing is to put, well try to put, everything in her mouth.

The result is drool...a lot of it!

Notice the dark purple part of her onesie...drool!

Instead of jumping in her "jenny jump up" she licks and sucks on it!

Finally got to meet the other summers that Drew has been working with on Monday. Addison was an angel! We were worried because it was way past her bedtime, but she was perfect!

Excited for the weekend, I know its only Wednesday, but we will see Mom, Steve, and hopefully Tommy and Heidi!

Addison's doctor visit went well. She is healthy, in the 25-50 percentile for height and weight. She had her 4 month shots, one in each leg and one orally. We liked the doctor, he gave us a lot of good information. He recommended that we wait a little longer to start solids. The AAP says between 4-6 months, he said its best to lean toward the 6 month side. So we will talk with our Chicago doctor, but hopefully start in 2 or 3 weeks. She seems ready to me: good neck control, wants to put everything in her mouth (including her spoon), sits up with support, watches me eat and drink, doubled her birth weight, and she eats like crazy now (every 1.5-2 hours during the day and once at night). But maybe internally she is not ready and we will trust the doctors.

We ate lunch with Austin today. We won't be able to go to his competition tonight. It's just too late and loud for Addison. He has worked so hard for this and we hope he does well!

Addison is 18 weeks old now...I think I will have to start referring to her age in months now!

Tomorrow morning Addison will have her 4 month appointment, which means more immunizations and the O.K. to start solids! It will be a long day too...we're meeting Austin for lunch before his competition and then going to watch for a little bit. Last time she had shots it made her pretty drowsy so hopefully she can sleep on the go.

We got the "Baby Bullet" and we are excited to start making her food! I think we will start on Sunday.

Get Well Soon...

Mom Ritter, Nana, is still sick. We wish we were there to visit and to keep her company...she must be going crazy with nothing to do! She is always so busy taking care of patients, the boys, and really everyone around her! She is the most caring person we know and we hate that she is in discomfort. We love you and will pray that you get well soon!
